Small Modern Backyard Transformation | Before and After
So the quick rundown on the backyard renovation since this was a PROCESS —
April: We get bids and book a landscaper who says he can start in July.
June: We check in, finalize lots of details and he says he’s about 2 weeks behind… no problem! It happens.
July: He pushes back two more weeks. No biggie— he’s open about it and that’s fine.
End of July: He CANCELS on us and says he still doesn’t have his May projects started aka he was lying the entire time. Says he can try to fit us in next year and that’s a NO for us because winter is coming.
End of July: We get more bids and book another landscaper who signs a contract with an end date - woohoo!
September: Our new landscaper starts the project on time according to our contract but unfortunately no progress is made for weeks as our “contract end date nears”
October: The contract date comes and passes but at this point, we need our yard done before the snow comes so we push and push and push and FINALLY get it all done. But not without some major headaches, pushing him time and time again to get work done and basically, spending all of our days managing the project.
There’s a whole lot more to the story but moral of the story now is that IT’S DONE and we love it!!
So here’s the final before and after look at our small modern backyard renovation. It’s so crazy to think that this little notepad sketch we drew ourselves turned into our dream backyard. And most of all, I’m so thankful that the headache is DONE not only before winter, but before baby boy arrives!
I linked and referenced everything I could hear for you too!
