6 Easy Halloween Themed Treats

6 Easy Halloween Themed Treats

And when I say easy, I mean like super easy (and quick!). I’ve done a fun little round-up of some easy Halloween treats for the kids you can make (or have them make with you as a fun little project) this Halloween season. I made these all myself this weekend to confirm they were quick and easy and honestly easy enough for kids to do on their own too. And my kids were lucky to enjoy the aftermath of all of this food crafting ;)

I’ll include some tips and tricks and the ingredient list for each Halloween treat I’ve got in here. Enjoy!

Easy Halloween Treats

Spider Cookies:

I used Oreos for these because the frosting made it nice and easy for the legs to stick without buying additional frosting but you could also do them with chocolate chip cookies, homemade cookies or really any cookies your heart desires!

Ingredients:

  • Oreos (I’d recommend the ones with extra stuffing so the legs stick better)

  • Pretzel Sticks

  • Frosting (any color, just to stick on those eyes)

  • Candy Eyeballs (I linked the ones we bought from Amazon!)

Spooky Trail Mix

So this Halloween themed trail mix can really go any direction you’d like it to based on your own personal tastes. I don’t like candy corn (I honestly think it’s nasty) but the kids love it and it was fun and festive to include in there! But you can really include anything you want — pretzels, any snacks you have lying around the house, anything that’s orange or brown or black and you have a Halloween themed trail mix in about 30 seconds.

Ingredients:

  • Candy Eyeballs (I linked the ones we bought from Amazon!)

  • Chex

  • Reese’s Pieces

  • Candy Corn

  • Kettle Corn

Witches Brooms

This one was so darn easy and they turned out so cute! You could also keep the wrappers on them for some fun, festive color but I knew the boys would just eat the wrapper if I left it on so I opted to take it off so it was immediately edible for the kids (and for myself… since Reese’s are my favorite!)

Ingredients:

  • Mini Reese’s

  • Pretzel Sticks

  • Skewers (or anything to pre-poke that hole!)

Skeleton Skewers:

These little skeleton skewers turned out so darn cute and I think they were the fan favorite for my kids! And just like everything else, they were so darn easy to make!!

Ingredients:

  • Large Marshmallows (2 per skewer)

  • White Chocolate or Yogurt Covered Pretzels (I used 5 per skewer)

  • Skewers

  • Frosting (I just black for the eyes!)

Spooky Gooey Rice Krispy Treats:

I planned on putting these Halloween-themed rice krispy treats into a pan and cutting them into little rectangles like I typically would, but then I saw how they were turning out and thought it would be so fun to serve in a cute little bowl with a spoon. But of course, you can serve them however you’d like! Super quick and super easy and they turned out absolutely adorable, don’t you think?

Ingredients:

  • Rice Krispies

  • Marshmallows (I just melted it all together in the microwave)

  • Green Food Coloring

  • Candy Eyeballs (I linked the ones we bought from Amazon!)

Boo-nanas (aka Banana Ghosts):

If you want a little healthy snack for lunch time instead of a treat, these banana ghosts were perfection! I must admit, though, that I kept them away from Hayes because I didn’t want that black food coloring getting everywhere. But I suppose I could have just stuck some of those edible eyeballs (linked above) on them or even used peanut butter to make it a little less messy. But totally up to you!!

Ingredients:

  • Bananas

  • Black Frosting
