Kids Back to School Finds
Back to school is almost here and I’m one of those parents who wishes their kids could stay at home forever and ever and never go to school. Luckily we DO homeschool (click click here if you want to see our playroom-homeschool room we just did for the upcoming school year!) so I get them here with me most of the time but we found the coolest school in our area that allows homeschool kids to go into the classroom one day a week and then a second half day is a field trip day, every single week. And bonus points - their school is on a farm! Like how cool is that?! They have recess next to alpacas and chickens and goats and bunnies and really, I feel so lucky to have found this school for them.
We still have a month left before we head back to school and start our homeschool cirriculum and this will be Franky’s first year homeschooling - he’s off to kindergarten! One of the most rewarding things I’ve experienced through homeschooling Ava the past few years is teaching her to read. I’ve always hated reading so truly dreaded this but she’s now two grades above her reading level and absolutely loves to read and gosh I’m tearing up just thinking about it - such an accomplishment for me as a mom to have been able to teach her that.
Anyways, we absolutely LOVE all of the kids backpacks and lunch boxes and those nap mats we use all the time (sleepovers, outdoor movie nights, lounging) and all of the back to school essentials from Pottery Barn Kids and we were so thankful they chose us to partner with them again for this back to school season. So many of their backpacks are on huge sales right now too so bonus points for that!
I linked everything below for you but they have so many other options on their site too! And for reference, Franky is wearing the size small backpack (he’s 5, going into kindergarten) and Ava’s wearing the size large (8 years old, going into third grade).
