6 Easy Kids Activities, Experiments + Art [with supplies you probably already have at home]
This week I scoured the internet for fun activities to do with the kids here at home. I wanted to find easy toddler arts and science experiments that I already had ingredients for here at home so that 1) I didn’t need to spend any extra money on it and 2) so I didn’t have to leave the house! Since I’m pregnant, Frank has been doing all of the errand-running so when I found these fun toddler activities and confirmed I already had everything I needed for them, we got to playing!
We did some mess-free painting - watch to the end to see how we took this one a step further - and this one was great for both Franky and Ava, we did a chalk mosaic but it ended up being a bit too big for Ava to complete on her own so she asked me to help, we did an ocean in a bottle which was a short little experiment but still fun and easy either way, salt + dye art — definitely one of Ava’s faves and totally counts as a science experiments for toddlers too, paper towel art — it wasn’t Ava’s fave but I feel like this one would be so much fun for some kids, and Ava’s favorite BY FAR which we’ve done many many times over this week was fizzy art which totally made her giggle and blew her mind!
Check out the short videos below to see how to do each of these toddler arts, activities and experiments with your kids while we’re all locked down in quarantine for who knows how long.
Ava’s been telling me that she’s had some of the best days ever thanks to all of the fun we’ve been having and that sure does make me smile!
